Bernadette Peters
Bernadette Peters, nee Lazzara, was born February 28 the 28th of February, 1948. She is an American actress, singer and children's book author. Through her long career, she has appeared on television, film as well as in musical theatre. She has also performed in solo concerts and recorded. She is a highly respected Broadway performer. She has earned seven Tony Awards nominations (plus an honorary award) and nine Drama Desk Award nominations. Four of her Broadway album of cast on which she's starred have been awarded Grammy Awards.
Many consider Peters to be the greatest Stephen Sondheim interpreter. She is most well-known for her performances on Broadway, such as in Mack and Mabel (1974), Sunday in the Park with George (1884), Song and Dance (1885), Into the Woods with George (1987), The Goodbye Girl (1993), Annie Get Your Gun (1999), Gypsy (2003), A Little Night Music (2010), Follies (2009) and Hello, Dolly (2018).
